Ukiyo-e de chien de feu

The way the flames curl around those stylized waves is what sold me—it’s genuinely striking in person, and the print quality holds up the fine linework better than I expected. Hung it above my desk and it’s already a conversation starter.

The fusion of pop culture and traditional Japanese art is executed so cleanly here—the canine subject feels both playful and timeless. The colors are rich and the print quality really makes the ukiyo-e details pop on the wall.

The geometric wave pattern in the background has this subtle depth that shifts as I move the piece around the room, and the crisp linework on the dog's face is even sharper up close. It's already the focal point of my living room wall, and I keep catching myself staring at it during coffee.
